The Interview
Chris, you’ve been with Bentley since April 2021. How was your start?
It was very welcoming! From day one, everyone was helpful and supportive. Having a "BeBuddy" mentor made settling in much easier.
What makes working here special for you?
The people and positive team spirit. Everyone pitches in, and there’s plenty to enjoy both at work and beyond. It’s even worth my daily commute from Stuttgart.
How do you experience personal development here?
Very positively. There are great training programs like BeEducated, and you can openly discuss your career goals to find the right opportunities.
What experience stands out the most?
Visiting the operating room just two months after starting—seeing how our products are used was a powerful moment.
What do you appreciate most about the company culture?
That everyone counts, is supported, and can be themselves. There’s a unique “Bentley style” that’s relaxed, inspiring, and professional.
And what about fun?
There’s plenty of it—whether during lunch or company events—which is just as important as the work.
In August 2024 you became R&D Project Leader. What did that mean for you?
After some changes and completing my previous project, I stepped into my new role. Now I lead my own projects, which feels great!
